Download SQL Extension tool kit

Please follow below steps to download IBM Netezza SQL Extension toolkit downloads

(Step:1) Open below fixcentral link

http://www-933.ibm.com/support/fixcentral/
(2) Click on “Select Product” and enter below:

Product Group: Information Management

Select From Information management*:  IBM Netezza Applications

Installed Version*: SQLEXT_7.2

Platform*: Linux

Then,

Click on continue

Step3: An IBM user with appropriate support permissions can download this software. Enter userid/password when prompted. After successful authentication, you will see below screen:

From above screenshot, click on .gz file and FTP the same to Netezza system. You can FTP to /export/home/nz directory and follow instructions in below link to install:

DB2 LUW: Snapshot backup

First of all, Snapshot backup concept comes only if you have any specific storage vendor associated (For example: TSM/Netapp, etc) with your DB2 databases.

It’s uses a fast copying technology of a storage device to perform the data copying portion of the backup.

DB2 LUW: Opening an IBM PMR/SR (Support ticket)

To open an IBM Support ticket, you can follow one of the below approaches:

(1) Phone Support:
You can call following number for phone support: 1 – 800 – IBM – SERV
Each customer has a customer ID. Make sure you have that handy while calling the above number.

Please note that phone support is encouraged for only P1 issues.

(2) Web support

(a) Open following link: http://www.ibm.com/support/servicerequest

(b) Enter *userid/password
*The userid should be already associated with your customer account. If you don’t know about this, talk to your Project Manager/Client Manager.

(c) Click on “New service request” as follows and follow the screenshots:

(d) click on Continue and “create Request”
You will receive an email/call based upon selection and priority.
